Paris Fashion Week 2021 - What You Need To Know About The Event
Paris Fashion Week marks the perfect end to this celebratory month of September. We saw the London Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, and our beloved New York Fashion Week. Paris Fashion Week is the perfect icing on your favorite red velvet cupcake, with the entire month packed for runway enthusiasts.
Paris Fashion Week 2021 is happening from September 27th, 2021, to October 5th, 2021. Bridal Fusion is narrowing down the prime moments you should look forward to this year.
Physical Shows Are Returning
Physical shows at the Paris Fashion Week 2021 are making a comeback in September. Like the New York Fashion Week or even London and Milan, the Paris event will also have physical shows. There are 92 events planned as per the official schedule, of which 37 events are going to be live runway shows.
Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Chloe, Hermès, and Rick Owens are just a few of those 37 brands coming back on the physical runways this season.
Digital Shows prevail
Although some brands are physically making a comeback, other brands are trying to prevail over digital platforms. Whether they look forward to gaining global exposure through their Spring-Summer 2022 collections or are looking to diversify their skills, these brands opt for the risk-free alternative by preferring the digital format. Their online presentations will, of course, be an integral part of the Paris Fashion Week 2021. The most awaited online presentations include those of Schiaparelli, Maison Margiela, and Dries Van Noten.
Balmain’s events
One of the most celebrated fashion icons, Balmain is hosting a two-day event this season at the Paris Fashion Week 2021. Olivier Rousteing has announced a two-day music festival that is going to be held at the Seine Musicale. The event is celebrating the creative director’s 10th anniversary.
The event will partner with RED and Global Fund to raise awareness against HIV and AIDS. The first of the two events will be on September 28th and will be open to the public. A runway show on September 29th will follow this.
The most exciting part of the event is that the first 1,200 people to donate at least 15 Euros to the organization will get two free tickets to the show, accommodating almost 3,400 people.
Rita Ora’s Eiffel Tower Spectacle
Speaking of music festivals, singer Rita Ora has also announced her show on September 30th. The event night filled with live music and fashion will be held at Paris’ very own beloved Eiffel Tower.
Rita Ora also wears some bespoke looks from Fendi, Lanvin, Miu Miu, and Alexandre Vauthier. Her makeup is going to be done by one of the finest French makeup brands, Lancôme. The event celebrates Paris Fashion Week 2021’s comeback to the city, from the top of the Eiffel Tower, for the whole world to witness.
Tribute To Alber Elbaz
The AZ Factory Label is paying tribute to the founder and former creative director Alber Elbaz who passed away earlier in 2021 due to his illness from Covid-19. The event will be held on October 5th, wrapping up the entire fashion season in honor of Lanvin’s beloved. The homage, also known as “Love Brings Love,” will be hosted by almost 40 brands. The show’s concept is inspired by the Théatre de la Mode, the 1945 Parisian exhibition uniting all French couturiers in the aftermath of World War II. The event back in 1945 and even in 2021 is a beautiful expression of prestige, solidarity, and creativity.
Brands To Watch Out For
Saint Laurent is making a comeback to unveil its Spring-Summer 2022 collection. The fashion house has announced a comeback to the Paris Fashion Week 2021’s calendar in its hometown on the first day of the fashion show, i.e., on September 28th.
Other prominent industry players like Balenciaga, Rick Owens, and Valentino are also making a comeback to showcase their collections in the French fashion hub.
Newcomers to the Spring-Summer 2022 collection at the Paris Fashion Week 2021 include Ludovic de Saint Sernin, Botter, and Raf Simons.
