It’s the reflection of all those commitment and love that your partner shared with you. It would be quite obvious that you wear it all times of your life but is that really important? Should a newly married bride or groom wear her wedding band or wedding ring at all times irrespective of external environment? The answer would be a NO.

At the beach

You should not wear your wedding ring when planning to visit a sandy beach. The reasons for this are many but the most common would be the risk of losing your ring somewhere in the water or the endless sand. Apart from this, you can get the sand particles stuck under the diamond or around the edges of the ring, making it dull and worn out. Another thing that can out your wedding ring at risk would be the sunscreen. While heading towards a beach, you might think of applying a sunscreen on your hands, hoping it will protect your hands from the harmful sun rays, but what about the ring? You will hardly realize that a single layer of sunscreen can make your wedding ring cloudy and shineless, especially if it is made up of diamonds or solitaires.

During the workout

Running, jogging, and lightweight cardio activities have never harmed any wedding ring/ engagement ring and it would never tend to do so. In real life, it’s the weight lifting part of your workout that can make a difference. If you are a fitness freak who tends to lift weight for a toned body, wearing wedding ring may cause potential damage to its shape. A number of times, we have seen couples complaining about the bends and the wear and tear of the rings and so many times it’s because of the weight lifting activity that has caused the damage. So, make sure you are not one of them. While lifting weights in the gym, always try to keep your ring aside at a safer place.

If you think, sunscreen is the only skin product that can create a cloudy layer over your wedding ring, you are wrong. Similar to sunscreen, beauty products including soaps, shampoos, and lotions are also prone to damage your ring with an unwanted cloudy layer which is difficult to wash out. To avoid this, do not take a bath while wearing your wedding ring. Make it a habit and you will see your ring shining and sparkling for years and years.

Doing strenuous activities
